Today we had the privilege to fish with the guys from Portsmouth NH. They wanted to go bass fishing so the headed to Race. It was a beautiful ride over to the tip of the cape with an abundance of whales and seals to spice the ride. The day started off great with 2 nice big stripers right away. The tide began to slack and the bass slowed down so we went to the deeper water and had a blast catching some really big bluefish. Bluefish measuring up to 36” hit the deck one after the other. When the tide began to turn we went back into the shallows and started jigging. WHAT A BITE! The stripers really turned on and we had double hook-ups on every pass. Nice big fish were being brought in from everyone on board. The biggest bass of the day a nice fat 39” fish was caught by Mark and won the pool for the day. It was becoming late in the day and with the guys all tired from catching their limit of bass we trolled for tuna on the way back to the harbor. What a great day.
