We left Green Harbor with the Chris Paze charter from Bridgewater Ma, on a late morning trip at 9:00 a.m. The seas were flat and the say was beautiful. We cruised out to the tuna grounds and found loads of whales and bait feeding. Once the lines were in the water we knew we would have a great day. Our first hit came within minutes only to reel in a big bluefish. The stripers and the bluefish hit out lines most of the day and were starting to become a nuisance. We reset all the lines and finally the line popped from the outrigger and line started screaming off the 50W Shimano reel. We knew this was not a bass or bluefish. Chris was on the rod and after a nice 20-minute fight; the fish came to the gaff. Measuring 54” long and estimated 110 pounds, we gutted and bled the tuna we took off for home. Tally for the day, 4 bass up to 30 pounds, 12 bluefish up to 12 pounds, and 1 tuna 110 pounds. The fishing is really heating up! Call to book your charter. |
